Nora was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Sinoski (1990); son, Randy (1997); daughter, June (2000); her parents, Mary (Onushko) (1944) and Fred Manchak (1951); sisters, Stella Yaremko (1979) and Jean Makowichuk (1998); brothers, Andrew (1981), Lester (1972), Meron (1961), Walter (1988), Allan (1991) and Orest (1998). Nora is survived by her sister, Sophie; brother-in-law, Merton Faulkner; special friend, Loreen Herzberg; daughter-in-law, Linda, all of Edmonton; son-in-law, John Warnock of Australia; sisters-in-law, Stella Manchak of Leduc, Kay Manchak of Edmonton, Adeline Manchak of Calmar, June Manchak of Mesa, Arizona, and Anne Rebus of Edmonton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many dear friends. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2002 in Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 - 34 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta. Nora requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or, a foundation of your choice. The family expresses heartfelt appreciation for the many flowers, cards and visits during the months of Nora's hospitalization. Hainstock's Funeral Home & Crematorium, 440-2999.

      FAULKNER, Sophie It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Sophie. She walks now hand in hand with Mert, her husband of almost 70 years. She leaves to mourn two sons: Gary (Gail) and Dale (Linda); four grandchildren: Mike (Karen), Dave (Jennifer), Lori (Jeff Homynyk) and Ken (Jillian); seven great-grandchildren: Syndey, Stephen, Adrianne, Paige, Davis, Ethan and Owen; brother-in-law, Don (Flo) of Delta, BC, June of Arizona, Kay of Edmonton, Stella and Adeline of Leduc; many nieces, nephews and good friends. She was predeceased by three sisters: Stella, Nora and Jean; six brothers: Meron, Andrew, Lester, Walter, Alan [sic] and Orest. The family wishes to thank the staff at Laurier House for their love and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Society of Edmonton. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Richmond Park Church, 9340 - 69 Ave Edmonton, AB.

      On Saturday, September 24, 1988, Mr. Walter Manchak of Calmar passed away at the age of 70 years.

      He is survived by two sons and their wives, Glenn and Virginia of Calmar, Terry and Lisa of Edmonton; one daughter, Gail and her husband Doug of Calgary; his grandson, Chance; two brothers, Allan and Orest; three sisters, Nora Sinoski, Sophie Faulkner, Jean Makowichuk. he was predeceased by his wife, Marie on August 26, 1987.

      A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Davids United Church (4614-48 Street) Leduc with Reverend Karen Paddison officiating. Should friends desire, donations to the Alberta Heart Foundation, 208, 10235-124 Street, Edmonton would be appreciated. Hainstock and Son, A Guardian Chapel, Leduc in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his loving wife, Kay; and two sons, Barry and Dwayne, both at home; also five brothers, Andrew, Lester, Walter and Allan, all of Calmar, and Orest of Calgary; four sisters, Mrs. John (Stella) Yaremko of Leduc, Mrs. Merton (Sophie) Faulkner of Mayerthorpe, Mrs. S. (Nora) Sinoski of Edmonton, Mrs. Jean Dockter of Edmonton.

      Prayer service will be held on Friday, December 22, 1961 a 8:00 p.m. at he St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 10951 107 Stree. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 1961, a 1:30 p.m. at the St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Very Rev. M. Fyk will officiate, and interment will take place in the St. Michael's Cemetery. Park Memorial Ltd. Funeral Administrators and Directors. (The Chapel on the Boulevard).
