He was born on December 16, 1922, in Akron to the late Otis and Margaret McMahon Fisher and resided in Akron most of his life. He attended Kent State University and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. Fisher was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was employed with the Burch Directory Company for 37 years. He enjoyed bowling in his younger years and was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards. He is survived by his wife Helen (nee Saracki) to whom he was married 60 years; children Barry T. (Mary) of Texas, Gregory M. (Nancy) of Wadsworth and Cynthia M. Maxim of North Canton; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son-in-law Terry Maxim and brother John. The family received friends on Sunday, October 22, in the Hilliard-Mullaney-Rospert Funeral Home 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth.
