Edward L. Ruzicka, 52, of Cheyenne died Aug. 21 in Cheyenne.
He was born Sept. 7, 1952, in Walla Walla, Wash., and had lived here since 1991.
Mr. Ruzicka was manager of Subaru and Suzuki Dealership at Halladay Motors. He was a wheat and sweet onion farmer in Walla Walla and owned Ruzicka Trucking in 1989 in Walla Walla and from 1991 to 2003 in Wyoming. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at F.E. Warren AFB for four years.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, American Legion Post 6, Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge in Walla Walla. He had a private pilot's license and enjoyed flying.

Walla Walla resident Gerald Charles Ruzicka died July 31, 2021, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center. He was born April 29, 1955, in Walla Walla to Charles and Mary Vinti Ruzicka.
Gerry graduated from DeSales High School in 1974, where he played football. He worked the family farm in the Sudbury area and raised all types of peppers in his greenhouse. A member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, he enjoyed cooking at the various events for many years. After moving to Brookdale Senior Living nearly nine years ago, he made many friends and watched all the Seahawks, Mariners, WSU football and Gonzaga basketball games he could.
Gerry is survived by his sons, Seth (Melaney) Ruzicka of College Place and Adam Ruzicka of Walla Walla; mother, Mary Ruzicka of Walla Walla; sister, Irene (Dennis) Rapp of Spokane; brother, Marvin (Cheri) Ruzicka of Walla Walla; sister-in-law, Mary Ruzicka of Cheyenne, WY; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ruzicka (2008); and brother, Edward Ruzicka (2005).

Mary Vinti Ruzicka, 97, of Walla Walla, died on June 15, 2022.
Born on August 20, 1924, in Walla Walla, she was the sixth child of Jim and Petrina Ballachina Vinti. They were Italian immigrants who moved to this area and started a family farm growing Walla Walla Sweet Onions and other vegetables. She attended Braden School.
Mary married Charles Anton Ruzicka on November 14, 1948, in Walla Walla, and they had four children. They established their own family farm in the Sudbury area and raised cattle, pigs, and a variety of crops. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and attending Charles' Army reunions, in addition to watching their children and grandchildren's school and sports activities. Every Sunday at 11:00 AM, she served a full spaghetti dinner with several desserts. Visiting relatives and friends in nursing homes and baking treats for the St. Mary Cancer Center patients were weekly activities for many years. She also cooked and helped run the restaurant at the Walla Walla Livestock Auction. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Walla Walla. It was there that she was baptized, received her First Communion, was married, and will have her funeral. She was a member of St. Anne's Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, and Italian Heritage Association. In 2003 she and her sister Rose Vinti Arbini were the Italian Heritage parade co-marshals.
She is survived by two children: daughter Irene (Dennis) Rapp of Spokane and son Marvin (Cheri) Ruzicka of Walla Walla; daughter-in-law, Mary Ruzicka of Cheyenne, WY; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ruzicka (2008); and sons, Edward Ruzicka (2005) and Gerald Ruzicka (2021); as well as her parents, Jim and Petrina Vinti; sisters, Angie Vinti Locati, Vivian Vinti Castoldi, Rose Vinti Arbini, and Virginia Vinti; and brothers, Ross Vinti and Frank Vinti.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla. The Rosary will be recited at St. Francis Catholic Church on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 9:30 AM, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in the Catholic Section. A reception and Celebration of Life will follow at the St. Francis Parish Hall. Mary L. Ruzicka, 74, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on September 4, 2025. She was born on December 4, 1950, in Cheyenne to Ben and Jennie Padilla.
Mary spent much of her life in Walla Walla, Washington, where she worked as a telephone operator in the 1970s and 1980s. She married Ed Ruzicka in 1976, and together they built a life centered around family, farming, and community. Mary and Ed operated a wheat and onion farm with many animals, and in 1990, they moved back to Cheyenne after purchasing a trucking company. After Ed’s passing in 2005, Mary continued her hard-working spirit by driving a school bus, where she touched the lives of countless children.
Mary had a zest for life and a deep love for her family. She treasured time with her son, Jeff, and adored her grandson, Odin. She shared many adventures with Ed, including traveling to Mexico throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In later years, she enjoyed camping, fishing, and attending Sturgis with her longtime companion, Jim Wenzinger. At home, she found joy in her flowers, watching old Westerns, and the companionship of her beloved pets, Jackson the cat and Sadie the dog.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Ruzicka of Cheyenne; grandson, Odin Barnes; brothers, Tony and Richard Padilla; sister, Bitto Gardner; her partner, Jim Wenzinger; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed; and her sisters, Sally and Delores.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne. Funeral services will follow on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Cheyenne.
Mary will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and devotion to her loved ones. Her legacy lives on in her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.
