ROSE, Willa M.: Willa passed into the presence of Jesus on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Val E. Rose. Daughter of the late William and Minnie Oakes. Predeceased by her sisters Lillian Wardell and Evelyn Hopkins and brother-in-law Frank Hopkins. Survived by her niece Trudy Hopkins, several cousins in Canada and the United States, sister-in-law Lolly Forshaw and special friends Melva Peck and Rob McAninch. Willa was born in Sedgewick, Alberta and moved with her family to Oliver in 1936. A year later the family moved to Penticton. Willa and Val lived in the Grand Forks area for many years. Following Val's retirement they moved to the Okanagan. A private family graveside service and burial will be held. If friends so desire, donations to the C.N.I.B., #101-1456 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 2E6 would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
