George Spilak was born May 5, 1894, in Vetlin, West Ukraine.
Administrative note: There is no Vetlin in Ukraine. But there is a Wietlin - pronounced with a V - in Poland, very close to the Ukraine border. Given its proximity to Laszki and Miekisz Nowy (slightly west and south) it seems a good bet this is the correct location.
